Notice
Green Network Energy tariffs are no longer available. The supplier has announced that it has ceased trading - the provider could not withstand the energy crisis. It has been decided that the existing customers will be switched to EDF. With its humble roots in Italy, Green Network Energy started to supply electricity and gas to UK customers in October 2016. They prided themselves on their bilingual call centre and website, and were originally set up to serve expats in Italy. Below, we explore EDF’s and Green Network Energy’s tariffs, prices and fees. You can decide if they’re the right energy supplier for you and/or your business.
Last updated in: November 2022
At last count they had over 200,000 domestic energy and business customers in the UK, and had a commitment to providing great customer service. However, with the original slogan of ‘The Italian Touch’, the company was deep-rooted in their branding and ethos. Their whole approach to energy provision centres around keeping things simple, with just a few tariffs to choose from.

Green Network Energy tariffs compared: Which was the cheapest tariff?
Green Network Energy was appreciated for their accessible renewable tariffs. As always, it’s important to take the breakdown of tariffs here with a small pinch of salt. In fact, you may find that your bills, standing charges or unit rates are higher than those mentioned below. This can be due to several reasons, including the following:
- Your meter type and payment methods (prepayment, monthly payment, direct debit etc.)
- Previous energy consumption
- Any debts or unpaid bills from your previous supplier
- Whether you select a fixed or variable contract
- The ‘going rate’ for energy when your variable contract starts, and as it continues
- The area in which you live throughout the UK.
Below, we discover Green Network Energy’s standard, fixed rate and variable tariffs.

Green Network Energy pricing and fees
We’ll take a look at Green Network Energy’s pricing and exit fees in a little more detail.
Does Green Network Energy have exit fees?
On their fixed tariffs of 12 or 24 months, Green Network Energy had exit fees of between £25 and £30 per fuel. Additionally, this fee generally covers any administration and the loss of energy that they’ve already bought.
Does Green Network Energy charge standing charges?
Yes, all of Green Network Energy’s tariffs included daily standing charges. These apply even if your home is unoccupied. They cover the costs of maintaining the network, the energy infrastructure and costs for their customer service teams, etc.
